If asked to describe Haas House, it’s a mixture of times past and present, but the best way to describe it is to go along and decide for yourself.
This is a concrete and glass structure with influences from ancient Rome, medieval homes, and the ruins from Vienna’s first district. The the idea was to mix all these together and try to make it fit with the surroundings – did this work? Everyones opinion is diiferent!
Today people travel from all areas to view this building, because there is so much glass in the exterior. The magnificent St.Stephen’s reflects on the houses glass.
At the top of Haas House you can relax in one of the coffee shops which includes a restaurant where there is a spectacular view of St.Stephen’s cathedral from here.
