The Hofburg Imperial Palace is one of Vienna’s most visited attractions as crowds gather here to get a glimpse at al all the museums, cafes, chapels, treasures and performances that the Palace offers.
It has about 2,600 rooms, 18 buildings and numerous staircases and courts so you’ll definitely need more than one day if you want to see everything! You’ll find all sorts of architectural designs ranging from Classicism, Gothic, Baroque, Roccoco and Renaissance here.
It was home to the Habsburgs for about seven centuries, then it housed the imperial Family and now it is home to the President of Austria.
The most visited attractions within the Palace include the National Theatre (Burgtheater0, The National Library, The Imperial Treasury (Schatzkammer0, The Natural History Museum (Naturhistoristes), The Spanish Riding School and the Hofkapelle, Hofmusikkapelle and the Burgkapelle chapels.
There is of course a lot more attractions within the palace for you to see. It would be a shame to miss out on the experience at this place.
