The Schonbrunn Palace is a bit out of the city but well worth the visit and is pretty easy to get to by metro. Take a tour of this magnficent palace and see where the Empress Maria Theresia used to live.

As Vienna has been home to some of the world's most famous composers (Beethoven, Schubert, Strauss) visitors to Vienna should really take in a night at the Opera. The Staatsopera could be considered one of the greatest opera venues in the world.
